Everything Ends
Jacob’s lonely world is forever changed as he fights to save Alice and resist eviction.
Faced with eviction from the sprawling, derelict factory that is their home, Jacob, a tramp in his fifties, attempts to maintain the routines of his life, while Alice, his shadowy counterpart, seems resigned to their changing fate. As their world shatters the illusion crumbles, an illusion in which Jacob believed Alice was still alive.
A heart warming drama, a bitter-sweet modern ghost story, Everything Ends explores death and the routines we use to cope, the possibilities of an afterlife and how the dead and the living deal with parting. Jacob and the disembodied Alice illustrate the human face of homelessness and, if Alice is just a symptom of Jacob’s condition, a figment of his imagination and loss, it explores our attitude to perceptions of reality.
